Attorney Andreas Vasilatos practices law with one guiding principle: an attorney may have many cases, but a client only has one life. In other words, no matter how may times an attorney has handled a certain type of case, the one in front of him should never be treated as routine, because it may mean everything to his client.
Andreas has diverse litigation experience in various areas of law including business and commercial litigation, commercial real estate litigation, contracts, divorce, family law, fraud and forgery claims, insurance matters, personal injury accidents, legal malpractice, and wrongful death cases. His practice currently centers around matrimonial law, and he uses his diverse background to better assist his clients, as divorce often intersects with other areas of the law, such as real estate and business valuation.
With his extensive litigation background, Andreas has an advantage in practice. Because most divorce matters settle, many divorce attorneys have limited litigation experience. By contrast, Andreas has tried numerous cases in a variety of practice areas. He is at ease in the courtroom and is therefore able to advocate more effectively for his clients, whether in settlement negotiations or at trial. In fact, because of his litigation experience, other law firms frequently retain Andreas as trial counsel or as a trial consultant, and a number of his fellow attorneys have hired him to represent them in their own divorces or other lawsuits.
As Andreas has been known to say, "You can win at law, but lose at life." His goal for his clients is to win at law and win at life—to be successful not only in the courtroom, but in moving forward with their lives and livelihoods after their legal matter is resolved.
